Astrophysicists from the University of Rochester Near and Mid Infrared Astrophysics Lab (including undergraduate and graduate students, interested alumni, and faculty) have been working on the Spitzer Young Stellar Clusters Survey, and as a result, observed and performed the image analysis on several young, star-forming cluster regions. Three different instruments and four different telescopes were used to obtain the observations of the following regions. The first few pictures are mosaics of images obtained in October 1999 (and December 2001) by Center for Astrophysics (CfA) research scientist Tom Megeath and U of R graduate student Dawn Peterson, with STELIRCam on the 1.2 meter Fred Lawrence Whipple Observatory (FLWO) telescope located atop Mt. Hopkins, near Tucson, Arizona. The second set of images was also obtained in December 2000 by Tom Megeath and Dawn Peterson (and October 2002 by Rob Gutermuth and U of R emeritus professor, Judy Pipher), with SQIID on the 2.1 meter telescope at Kitt Peak National Observatory (KPNO), also near Tucson, Arizona. The third set of images was obtained in June 2001 by Tom Megeath and Judy Pipher, (and February 2002 by Dawn Peterson and U of R graduate student Rob Gutermuth) with FLAMINGOS on the 6.5 meter MMT, located atop Mt. Hopkins. The last image was obtained with FLAMINGOS also, but via queue observing during June and July of 2002 on the 8.1 meter Gemini South Telescope atop Cerro Pachón, a mountain in central Chile. Near-infrared (J, H, and K band) images of the following regions were obtained, and after using custom IDL programs developed in-house to perform the image analysis, red (K), green (H), and blue (J) color mosaics were created.
The following images were reduced by undergraduates Mike Dunham, Alaina Henry, Jessica Benjou, and Kevin Flaherty, and NIR lab alumnus Dr. Jennifer Goetz-Bixby, under the guidance of U of R graduate student Rob Gutermuth. The J, H, K color composite images were combined using Rob's IDL program, Threecolor. All of the mosaics in this section are approximately 700 x 700 pixels in size, and with STELIRCAM's pixel size of 0.6 arcsec/pixel, the field of view of each image is approximately 7' x 7' (except for IC1396, which is ~450 x 450 pixels or 4.5' x 4.5', and XY Per, which is 1.2 arcsec/pixel or 14' x 14').

The following images were reduced by U of R graduate student, Dawn Peterson. The OMC 2/3 region was mapped on a 4x4 grid, and with the SQIID array size of 512 x 512 pixels (and excluding the overlap), the final mosaic size is approximately 1750 x 1750 pixels. With SQIID's pixel size of 0.69 arcsec/pixel, the field of view of the OMC 2/3 image is approximately 20' x 20'. The region of Cepheus A was mapped on a 3x3 grid, resulting in a final mosaic size of approximately 1325 x 1325 pixels, or 15' x 15'. (Note that the following images in this section are all binned down 2x2 pixels.)
